I am protecting plants at school No stepping on the plants, no throwing rubbish on the plants. Don’t spit on the plants. Don’t rip out the plants. Water them, take care of them.
Today for CRT I made a picture using Google draw. I learnt how to use polyline tool, line tool, using gradients and shapes and adding colour.
This is my landscape.
From Thursday 22nd – Friday 23rd August we stayed at Rāpaki Marae. When we arrived we were formally welcomed in a ceremony called a pōwhiri.
Matua Issac talked about the special artworks, carvings and tukutuku panels in the wharenui. He also told us about how to be respectful of marae tikanga, like not wearing shoes or taking food into the wharenui. We did lots of activities such as walking to the beach, weaving, drawing the ancestors on the pou, making rākau and singing waiata.
My favourite part of the noho marae was making and playing the rākau because it was fun. Something I learnt while at the marae was about the Seven Sisters which are the stars of Matariki.rākau
The RISE value I showed the most was integrity because I found it hard to go to sleep but I didn’t annoy anyone.
I would like to go back to the marae because it was so much fun.

We have been skipping for PE to practice our skipping for Jumping June. I got better because I have been skipping most days. Today we did Jumping June. I went around the different stations and skipped with the long rope, skipped with a small rope and I did criss-cross. Jumping June is to raise money for the Heart Foundation. I enjoyed skipping!
First I coloured in my page using 4 different pastel colours for my background.
My silhouette was a gymnast.
The hardest part was to cut the gymnast out.
My favourite part was to colour my background.

It was fun, have a go!
I chose dance for Action Stations with Talei. We started with a hip hop dance that was super hard.
Then we learned the Heel and toe polka. We had to dance with a partner and swap partners as we danced.
I learned different dance styles. My favourite dance was the polka.
I found out that I was really good at dancing. Even though it was hard, I kept on trying. That is called resilience.
On Thursday and Friday, Sharon’s Literacy Group went to Life Education Trust. We saw Harold the giraffe he told us jokes. Jo taught us we have veins in our body, they have blood in it. Jo told us its important to drink lots of water because if you don’t drink lots water you could die. Your heart beats slow and it beats fast when you run around.
Did you learn anything new?
